Gitarist je ubijen tijekom koncerta benda Damageplan 8. prosinca 2004. godine.
Dimebag Darrell, legendarni gitarist Pantere 8. prosinca 2004. godine, ubijen je u pucnjavi tijekom koncerta svojeg drugog benda Damageplan u klubu Alrosa Villa u Columbusu (Ohio). Osim Dimebaga, u pucnjavi je život izgubilo još četvero ljudi, troje ih je bilo ranjeno, a policijski službenik ubio j počinitelja.
Danas, sedamnaest godina kasnije, klub Alrosa Villa koji je zatvoren od prošle godine, srušen je te se na njegovom mjestu planira gradnja stambenih zgrada.
U pedeset godina postojanja u klubu Alrosa Villa svirali su bendovi poput Korna i Slipknota.
